Job Description:

Move forward with Volt!Volt is immediately hiring Direct Hire Sanitation in Riverside, CA. As a Sanitation you will:

  • Properly clean and sanitize all equipment used in the handling, processing, packaging, and storing of all products.
  • Cover all electrical panels when cleaning around them.
  • Clean the exterior of all tanks, lines, floors, walls, and ceiling daily.
  • Report any unsafe areas or accidents to shift supervisor immediately.
  • Check chemical titration strengths daily and note results on C.I.P. charts daily.
  • Report any equipment or other problems to shift supervisor.
  • Maintain appropriate dress and personal appearance standards.
  • Knows, understands, and adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Follow all GMP's and company's safety policies.
  • Promotes and maintains company goodwill in all areas.
  • Assist others and perform other tasks as appropriate and/or necessary.
  • Wear proper safety equipment: rubber gloves, safety glasses or face mask and apron.
  • Chemical Knowledge
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning and sanitization, including conveyor belts, mixers, and other food processing machinery.
  • Clean and sanitize floors, walls, and ceilings in production areas, and common areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Properly handle and dispose of waste materials, including food waste, packaging materials, and cleaning supplies, in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and report any shortages or maintenance issues to the Supervisor.
  • Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Participate in training sessions on sanitation procedures, food safety practices, and regulatory requirements to maintain compliance with industry standards.
  • Assist with periodic facility inspections and audits conducted by internal and external regulatory agencies.
  • Equipment and Facility Sanitization: Oversee the cleaning and sanitization of all equipment, machinery, production areas, and facilities to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a hygienic environment for food processing.
  • Chemical Handling and Safety: Manage the storage, handling, and use of cleaning chemicals and sanitizers in accordance with safety protocols and regulatory guidelines to minimize risks to personnel and food safety.
  • Monitoring and Inspection: Conduct routine inspections and monitoring of sanitation practices, equipment cleanliness, and facility hygiene to identify potential hazards or deficiencies and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, chemical usage logs, and corrective actions taken, to demonstrate compliance with sanitation standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including FDA Food Code, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles, and other applicable food safety standards and guidelines.This is a full-time opportunity.Monday to Friday 8:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m.The ideal candidate will have:
    • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
    • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, perform repetitive motions, see variations in color, climb, and work from ladders.
    • Exposure to cold temperatures while on the production floor and in other parts of the building
    • Company-provided Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) must be worn while on the production floor.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
    • Walking and climbing stairs.
    • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
    • Adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
      • Able to work night shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
      • Ability to work independently.
      • Knowledge of GMP s (Good Manufacturing Practices)
      • Basic understanding of Lock out Tag Out of equipment.
      • Must be reliable, responsible, dependable, and be able to fulfill obligations of the job.
