As an Area Operations Manager for Downstream Chemicals, you will be
responsible for managing chemical applications and technical
support needs for refinery-based customer accounts in the
California Area (Greater Los Angeles & Greater San Francisco
Areas). As an Area Operations Manager, you will be responsible
for:
- Be accountable for product line service delivery performance
within the area
- Building long-term strategic relationships by providing account
management to customers while understanding their business
requirements and originating sales opportunities
- Identifying, coordinating, and collaborating with team members
to drive projects, technical sales, and innovative solutions that
bring value to our customers
- Developing, delivering, and leading business reviews and
technical presentations to customers and executive leadership
- Managing the day-to-day operations of existing refinery
chemical process business for customer accounts, technicians, and
account personnel
- Demonstrating good communication with interpersonal skills and
an ability to build trusting relationships with teams and
customers
- Following Sales and Service Standards at key customer accounts
to ensure compliance
- Directly manage a team of employees within the area
- Transition new business opportunities within key accounts
throughout the areaFuel your passion To be successful in this role
you will:
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry,
Business, or other relevant field
- Possess at least 5 years of refinery operations and/or
chemicals experience related to refinery
- Have or be able to obtain a TWIC card
- Must have a clean driving record
- Have experience with and ability to influence others
- Demonstrate business acumen and ability to ensure product and
value delivery for our customers
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and an ability to
build trusting relationships with internal teams and external
customers
- Show the ability to lead and coordinate several projects
simultaneously
- Have an understanding of HSE standards, a clear understanding
of the compliance and reporting requirements associated with the
flawless execution of a Perfect HSE Day
- Have experience with Profit and Loss statements along with an
understanding of factors that influence key metrics to support
company decision-making in the area (preferred).Work in a way that

for this position is between $96,400.00 - $179,000.00.Candidates
for this role (office-based/ hybrid/ remote) must be located in or
near the locations displayed above. The pay range/scale displayed
above represents Baker Hughes' good faith estimate of the minimum
and maximum for this position at the time of this posting and
applies to the possible locations for this position. Baker Hughes
will issue a non-bias competitive offer; the salary range posted
for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new
hires, full-time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including
equity or benefits. Where an applicant will ultimately fall within
the pay range/scale depends on a variety of factors, including, for
example, geographic work location, skillset, qualifications,
internal pay alignment, level of experience, and demonstrated

above is the full base salary range for the role and does not
