Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY: In support of the HR Team Mission and Vision and
under the leadership of the HR Manager, the HR Generalist performs
a variety of key human resources services focused in the areas of
Recruiting, On boarding, Employee Relations, and transactional HR
operations and process improvements. The HR Generalist also plays a
key role as the site champion for key corporate initiatives and
serves as an advocate for all employees.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Partners with the company?s Talent and Recruitment Specialist and
facilitates Recruiting initiatives.
o Ensures interviews are scheduled in a timely and efficient manner
and leverages administrative support where applicable.
o Participates in interviews, where appropriate, to ensure hiring
the best talent.
o Connects with the local employee market and upcoming
recruiting-related events and works with the Talent and Recruitment
Specialist to develop key relationships for talent acquisition.
o Ensures that candidates have a positive experience during the
recruiting process and provides continuous improvement feedback to
the Talent and Recruitment Manager.
2. Leads On boarding activities to ensure that all new employees
have a best-in-class experience transitioning into the company
o Serves as the key point of contact for new employees during the
on boarding process and leads the orientation content that is
specific to the location or business segment.
o Maintains regular check-ins with the new hires to ensure a
positive experience and responds to any questions or escalations
regarding new employee paperwork, employee benefits, company
policies and procedures or expectations.
o Provides continuous improvement feedback to the On boarding
Specialist to optimize all corporate standards and processes.
o Resolves defined employee relations inquiries and requests in a
timely manner and executes necessary actions per the direction of
the HR Manager for substantial employee relations issues.
o Effectively and efficiently executes transactional HR operations
related to one or more HR services, such as:
1. Performance Management Administration and Tracking
2. New Hire and Termination Activities
3. Routinely evaluates existing processes and recommends process
improvements to the HR Manager to drive for best-in-class
operations, and supports the implementation of best practice HR
solutions aligned with business direction.
4. In one or more HR service areas, collaborates and provides
expertise as input to both short-term and long-term HR strategy
definition.
5. As a member of the HR Team, owns the HR Information System and
HR technology solutions. Supports employee self-service,
technology-related inquiries, and Employee Central administration
and work flows.
6. Partners with the HR Manager to facilitate knowledge transfer
between the HR Generalists and the other members of the HR team, as
needed.
7. Acts as an advocate for HR by representing the services in a
proactive and positive manner.
8. Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and guidelines
and remains informed of industry standards and changes within the
areas of expertise.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:
Education: Bachelor?s Degree required
Experience:
? A minimum of 4-6 years of Human Resources experience, in a mix of
generalist and specialist functions is preferred
? Strong verbal and written communication skills
? Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Power
